This update introduced some new capabilities to "My Journeys" but it also fixes some bugs.

I noticed straight away that if fixed the Ford Pass Apple Watch app:

Instead of the animated "Refresh" screen... I now see this on my watch:

Ford Mustang Mach-E FordPass app updated today on iOS (v3.16.0) and Android IMG_1662.PNG

YES!!! :p

Nice. If you hit one of those buttons on your watch, is there any indication of whether or not it worked?

I can't hit it right now because my car is at a shop having Ceramic Coating applied.

However ... when I did this on the phone (yesterday) you press-and-hold the button and you'll see an animation around the circle (after holding it for about a second) and the button label changes to 'Stop' instead of 'Start'.

So yes... you *should* see the display update so you know it actually started the car.

I"m assuming this only works via the app on the phone (as in I can't use this independent of the phone, say with Apple Watch on cellular).

My guess is that's probably correct. There are two kinds of Apple Watch "apps".

The original watch apps were really just extensions of a phone app. You could think of these as just a 2nd screen and input device to the *same* app running on the phone (all the actual functionality was on the phone).

These days it is possible for an app to run entirely on the watch and not use the phone at all.

I'm not sure which way the Ford Pass watch app works ... but my guess is it's the original way. I can test it when I get the car back (it's being ceramic coated this week) by disabling the Bluetooth & Wifi on my phone so it would not be able to talk to the watch ... then see if the watch can still control the car.

I have an iPhone X and an Apple Watch and I don't see any program for the watch in Ford Pass. Where is the program located on the watch or iPhone? What can the watch do? I have the watch that was able to have it's own phone number but I disabled that. Right now only my 2016 Ford Fusion is on the Ford Pass as I don't have my Mach E yet. I also can't see that Ford Pass was updated.

There is an app for the watch. Go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Scroll through the apps until you find FordPass, click on it, and toggle the switch to show on watch. As to capabilities, I don’t know as I have not used it on my watch, but may try it when I get my Mach E.

Thanks. I found it but it won't install so my watch must not support it.
