The option for Journeys are great for statistics and stalkers. But in reality it lacks the data we needs for stats and does not allow us to export the data out of the app. So in the end that option is only helpful for stalkers

That footnote is referring to remote start capability of an app used by many different Ford vehicles. Still not seeing why this post does not apply.

MMEs don't find fuel in the US, or anywhere else.

Methinks Ford EU sent a blanket email not specifically intended for vehicles that find charging stations.

In any event, I, in North Carolina, have not received it.

Haha finally after fordpass update 4.14 i've got the trip planner to work and now they're removing it

That's a shame. If anyone needs something else musical on their phone to hold them over, there's always the Callin' Oates hotline.

I used to own a Miata. People would actually put after market remote start systems on them. They’d leave the car out of gear and rely on the parking brake (or “parking rock” if the parking brake handle was broken )

Compustar makes a remote start system specifically for manual transmission cars. I had them on 3 different Foci. The last one I also added Drone Mobile with it and it could do everything Fordpass does except display fuel level.

TL;DR
Not really practical but I’ll try with an OBDlink MX+ as the hardware and a single iOS app in the fall - on summer break for now.

Wow - I took a look at the thread you linked and that looks super cool! There was a time when I could do stuff like that, but that was in the 80's/90's and sadly I've just not kept up... If you do make an app, I'd be happy to be a beta tester as well as buy it once it's available. (I have a Vgate vLinker MC+ which I presume could be used...?)
