FordPass Recommended Charge Times

I recently noticed that in FordPass Vehicle/Charging/Charge Settings/Preferred Charge Times/[location] there is an option called Recommended times:

If I select it, I get this screen:

…but I’ve not been able to figure out anyway to actually have something useful result from it. There’s no place for me to identify my utility provider, nor rate plan.

Has anyone been able to make this work?

(Yes, I know I can set it up manually and have done so - but it would be nice to have it auto adjust from summer to winter preferred charging times…)

I used this to set up my preferred schedule. It worked for me but it was probably over a year ago. Maybe it's broken at the moment.

It doesn't adjust seasonally as far as I could tell, but neither does the cheapest rate period of my utility (always 11p-5a).

Hmm. Tried it just now and it's still working for me. I'm running FordPass 4.22.0 on Android 13, Google Pixel 6.

I have not checked recently but about a year or so ago I was able to pick my provider and the rates I was signed up for and then it would put this as the preferred hours to charge.

Thanks guys. Not sure why I’m not given the option. Perhaps they removed it, or maybe there’s something that needs to be setup elsewhere first…? Not a biggie - but I’ll poke around a bit more when I’m back from my short road trip.

It’s broken on iPhone currently. It’s been there a while and used to work.

It’s used to set your charging hours based on your off peak rate plan from your utility.

Annnnnnd they're back! The feature has returned to the app. (And when I tried it out, I was reminded that in fact I tried it months ago, but my soon-to-be-discontinued electric plan is not on the list of plans to choose from. )
