They are on track to hit production numbers for the first year. Problem with the report is that it doesn't report Mach-E sales in Europe. So, the comparison isn't apples to apples. North American production and US sales.

So the 5k plus many of those would've gone overseas? I'd be interested to hear how many days a mach stays on the lot. for the various mach e models.

Yes. There were actually more scheduled to go overseas than remain in the US. I think it was around 30k.

Looks like electric MachE is close or outselling the gas Mustang

August had the lowest number of sales/deliveries since introduction, only 1448 units. Likely due to production shutdowns in July. For comparison, more Broncos (2730) and EcoSports (2153) were sold last month. The blue line on the graph is Ford's total sales, which is also seeing record declines due to the ongoing chip shortage. Feels like a snail's pace for those waiting.

but they built 5k for the month, I wonder how many of those were exported, which wouldn't reflect in sales. I'd really like to know the average time on the lot for the various mach e models.

I think I read somewhere that Ford is under the gun to meet some kind of EU emissions standard thus the push to fill those orders

I wanted to compare the Mach E with the ICE Mustang but given the shortages I don't think this is the right year to make fair comparisons. YOY declines in the Mustang could be due to lack of availability than interest. Either way, at this point it appears the Mach E is not cannibalizing Mustang sales.
