Just pulled up to charge at an EA station and saw it's free through 3 am on 11/29. I do love how EA keeps offering free charging during holidays. Makes it even more cost efficient to take our EV on long trips!

It is really cool that they do that.

I don't take advantage of it most of the time though as I get by with L2. I'm sure those that warrior drive or have high energy costs really appropriate it.

Couldn't find anything online about it, so hey, thanks for the heads up. Is that in Houston? I'll have to check around here, I am up in The Woodlands.

The charger I used was in Houston, but I assume it's a national thing.

I like the EA free charge holidays. Those have been the ONLY times where the car charges at fast speeds for me. EVERY other time I have tried DCFC it has been super duper slow. Painfully slow. I can't help but wonder if the reason it is so slow is because I am using the free kW that Ford provided when I bought the car. Once all that is used up then maybe EA will return to normal speed? ?

Should I disable plug and charge? Have a feeling the free charging might eat into the free balance anyway.

MME owners gonna be gettin’ more free ones than Ned and the Kid got in Unforgiven. I think my charger’s name was Strawberry Alice ?

I don't think so. I've charged at least a dozen times when it wasn't an EA "free holiday" and I was using my free ford kwh and gotten a reasonable rate (starting in the 130-140 range and tapering down to 100 or so at 70%)

While others’ comments about how P&C should work during free charging, I’ve seen lots of reports of having Ford Pass charged for free sessions. My recommendation is to turn off Plug & Charge when you want the session to count against your EA account instead of your FordPass account.

Just want to report that before I saw this thread, I plugged and charged at an EA station in Arcadia, CA this morning and pnc worked perfectly abd Ford did not deduct kw from my account even though plug and charge was enabled in the app and on the car at the time. So I feel no need to disable pnc before plugging in.
