I wish there were some way to utilize a mounting point somewhere underneath where that mesh is. They could still keep the plate raised so as not to interfere with radar or cooling, but have the mount point underneath so if you ever were to take it off, you don't have 3 glaring holes in the front of your car's fascia

...it definitely emphasizes the EU-spec flat area in a bad way.
Man I had not noticed that before, and now I will never unsee it. Suddenly I am wishing there was a tow hook adapter option.

So in another thread, I suggested that someone could build a custom mount that could screw in to some metal behind the tow hook panel, stick out through the hole, and one could mount a plate bracket to this bracket. The original panel could be removed/saved, and a replacement panel of plastic/rubber could surround the mount and seal the opening. This replacement panel could be black, for all I care, since it would be entirely covered by the plate.
I don't know if this is too much to expect from an aftermarket outfit, but I would gladly pay 75 or 100 bucks for it in order to avoid drilling holes in the bumper.

Something like this is like what I'm talking about. eltonlin linked to that custom plate website and this is a picture from it. This could work for me if there's enough of a lip underneath to mount to. I'll be looking for that when I visit the Mach E on the 14th

From the description and looking at it, it appears there's strong double sided tape to adhere to the car and then there's a screw hanging down that the plate bracket mounts to

This would work for me, if it was workable & available.

I bought the bracket shown here from Craig’s License Plates but now am not sure I’ll be able to use it as members are saying the factory mounts the OEM Ford brackets when they are ordered for the car and the car is going to a state that requires front plates. My dealer insists this is incorrect and the dealer mounts the bracket before delivery. I hope he is right as I told him not to mount it or put any dealer decals on the car. We’ll see whenever my car comes up in line to manufacture it.

My dealer says it is done at the factory. I hope you are right!

I heard the same that the factory does it. When we see our orders and see a free front bracket in it (we see this in the VIN stickers) - I am assuming this tells factory to install it. I wish I knew to ask for this to be removed by the dealer in the order before production began. I did tell the dealer to not install when they get teh car and thats when he said it comes that way from the factory.
