The cargo load floor is adjustable. So that panel we can see in the load floor can be completely removed from the car. Maybe doing that makes the larger area flatter... This is how it works on my Fiesta at any rate.

I also wonder if the fold-down slope might be different on the AWD than the RWD? I think I saw someone post that the AWD is actually a little smaller cargo space than the RWD. (Which is odd since the extra motor is in the front.)
Yes, the Compare Model Specs now show that the cargo space behind back seats is 29.7 cu.ft. for RWD and only 26.6 for AWD.

My guess is that the divider will be standard equipment, that you can remove when desired. Maybe it was added later in the process as a result of testing/user-feedback. The divider is kind of shaped strange. Not sure the thought process behind it... if it is better for keeping grocery bags standing up, separating food for tailgates, or just to make it harder for a kid to climb in and get stuck in the frunk (I'm sure there is an emergency pull handle, but young kids may not know where to locate it).
The shape of that divider may be a very clever design. Looks like it can easily come apart and store nicely along the sides. Notice how the shape will nest with the contour of the tub. Neat idea!

I'm lost in cu ft compared to European liters

4.7cu ft is 100 liters and 29.7 cu ft is 402 liters? Doesn't match really...

I think that looks like an opportunity for fordparts.com to cash in.
It's cool to see all of the Tesla after-market accessories that have been developed and reviewed on YouTube. I really hope there is just as much enthusiasm and entrepreneurship for the Mach-E.

The new tech spec has corrected one thing, but not your issue.

The new tech spec now shows the 29.7 vs 26.6 cargo space difference to be as between SR and ER batteries. However, they show 29.7 cu.ft. to equal 822 liters and 26.6 to equal 822....

In this EU-attachment they stated 402 liters, instead of approx 822 liters! Quite a difference!

TBH, I think what is the best thing about the divider is that it exists and that there will be attachment points for it. That opens the door for all sorts of custom aftermarket accessories. Nice!

Since there are many more photos without it than with it, I'm confident the organizer is removable.

I just got around to watching some of the new videos added to the Mach E page
https://www.ford.com/suvs/mach-e/2021/

In "ENJOY EVERY DETAIL"
where the frunk organizers is shown, there's an easter egg in the easter egg: YAP (yet another pony)
