Anybody else have a problem closing the frunk. I "drop" it from recommended height and never gets past first latch. I have to really press down hard to get it close all the way. Worried about putting dents in the hood. Think I might have to take it in.

It is not fragile. You are compressing a large seal when you close the second latch.

Yeah, it doesn't drop closed. Have to put some effort into it.

On another thread someone mentioned adjusting a stopper made it quite a bit easier to close.

Instead of dropping it, try throwing it down, that often works for me.

I agree, it is hard to get right. I wish we had the automatic open/close like the F150 Lightning, I don’t like using the frunk because of the handprints it leaves (which wouldn’t be an issue if it could automatically close).

I lower it to about 10 inches gap in front, and flick my wrist down like I'm shooting a basketball. It seems to put the right amount of force to close and latch. When I first got the car I think the seal was stiffer, but over time has loosened up a a bit and this technique works for me. If you dig around somebody made a video of the same technique earlier this year

Mine doesn’t even get passed the first latch lol. I have to push on the hood to close it but I feel like I’ll just end up scratching the paint.

My 9 year old gets it to close 90% of the time. ???. I'm somewhere between 99-100% It's all about technique. The 'flick of the wrist' that @timbop describes is the way to go. I never press down on the hood or leave hand prints.
