I am using a LG Velvet on Android 10. Interestingly enough for this phone, when I setup paak, it says its not supported. But it works more consistently than my iphone XR.

It said that for me last week too, but the next time I looked I was in the beta. So just wait a day or so and see what happens.

I am using a LG Velvet on Android 10. Interestingly enough for this phone, when I setup paak, it says its not supported. But it works more consistently than my iphone XR.

That's because PaaK says in its documentation that it requires Android 11 to be fully supported.

You have to 'root' your phone to do it. I've done that numerous times in the past, but it can break some streaming apps (their copyright protection schemes kick in when it detects a rooted phone). I'11 probably get a new phone in the fall. If I do, I'll then give it a try with my old phone.

Apple will probably never enable such a feature unless they can ensure somehow that the vehicle a) Isn’t in motion and b) Cannot be put in motion. If there isn’t a way to do that, I doubt Apple would want to open up a can of worms.

There are apps (AAMirror) that don't require root access. I just have hard time trusting unknown applications and paying money for them.

That's good to know. I don't know why I though AA Mirror needed root. I may give it a try after all.
