Not needed. The Mach E glass roof is tinted really well and barely lets any heat in.

You are absolutely right, this glass roof is tinted very well and barely lets heat in from the sun. However, there are other reasons to buy a shade like this. Some people don't like the light or glare coming in at particular times of the day. Then, there are some like me that don't like the radiant heat coming off of the glass. I am not sure what the temps are like in Chicago right now but here in Sonora the last few days it has been right at 100 and if I leave the car in the sun for more than two hours, the glass roof gets extremely warm. It is getting close to full summer and it will be well over 100 most days for a couple of months. Not needed. The Mach E glass roof is tinted really well and barely lets any heat in.
Well, you received a better reply than me; they kept sending me pictures and wouldn't answer my questions. I have mine mounted without the magnetic pieces on as there is no sagging. Does yours sag? What does "two sides of the center" mean to you? I'm trying to envision this and come up with putting them in the middle between the front windshield and the back window and then drawing an imaginary line at this center move each magnet along a perpendicular line about halfway from center; one on each side. Below is my half assed attempt to draw what I'm trying to say: the part closest to this print is the windshield and the back part is back window. First line from windshield to back window divides the shade in half vertically. The second line perpendicular is approximately halfway down the shade and extends to right and left of shade. The circles are the magnets approximately half way to the side on right and left. Is this what you think they had in mind?I also purchased this sunshade, mostly to have for days I am working and parking in the direct sun all day. I like it. It is lightweight, fits well, and comes with a nice storage bag. I was hoping to just use the silver lining part when parking, but it is a bit of an inconvenience to keep taking it out and putting it back. During these summer months, I decided to leave it on all the timeāunless I will be driving with a passenger. Then I will take that part off so that my passenger can enjoy the pano glass. Tesmanian emailed me back directions which are below. (I didn't use the magnets and it still fits well.)
I had thought about getting my front side windows tinted and may still do that. Looks like WeatherTech may offer the side window sunshade package, and I submitted for a notification to let me know when it is available as I may purchase those instead.

DIRECTIONS FOR TESMANIAN PANO SUNSHADE
1) Choose the areas you'd like to install the magnets to keep saggy area flat . (our suggestion: 2 sides of the center as it will pull flat to the middle of the center).
2) Stick the metal piece w/ adhesive tape to glass roof ceiling
3) Install the UV Screen (1st) and the Sun Screen (2nd) with clips (UV screen should be in between roof & sunscreen)
4) Attach Magnets to the metal pieces to hold the UV screen and Shade together, it will keep the saggy area more secured.
As for the clips, we recommend 2 clips in the front and 4 in the middle . For the additional 2, you may put in the back or you may add it to the center for additional support.
Yes. I think that is about right. I just went out to check mine. It isn't flush with the glass and I could probably push it up a good inch and a half in the center, but I wouldnāt say it sags. Perhaps in time it may stretch out and sag, but for now I am not bothered that it isnāt flush. I think it looks nice actually, and I am glad to have it for extra assurance for the summer. In estimating the space between, perhaps putting the magnets a little closer to center may be the best location when and if using them. If they are spaced too far apart, you may be left with a small center sag. IMHO. Just push up on the shade to get an idea where the magnets might work best.Well, you received a better reply than me; they kept sending me pictures and wouldn't answer my questions. I ordered the Tesmanian sunshade as I don't want my head to heat up either.I also purchased this sunshade, mostly to have for days I am working and parking in the direct sun all day. I like it. I was going to buy that glove, but it doesnāt say anything about being electron resistant.I ordered the Tesmanian sunshade as I don't want my head to heat up either.
I checked out the weathertech link and became suspicious when a FuelGlove was listed as a related Mach E product.
I believe this is the electron-resistant fuel glove you are looking for: https://www.grainger.com/product/SALISBURY-Electrical-Insulating-Gloves-4T489I was going to buy that glove, but it doesnāt say anything about being electron resistant.
