I put in a reservation for a GMC HUMMER EV EDITION 1. I am not sure why but I did. It was $100 and refundable.

That Engineering Explained article is pretty interesting.
The battery pack is over 200kWh. That is more than double the Extended Range Mach E.
24 cells per module. 12 modules per layer. Two layers. That is 576 cells. That is so much weight.

A Rivian rival? Really comes down to who can really deliver these vehicles on promised timelines. They are expensive as heck

Plus reservations on the Bronco and the MME. Someone have a little problem making up their mind??
I have a Bronco reservation too (made in first few minutes) - but I knew I was not going to buy it - mostly a favor for the dealer hoping he can return the same with my MME order :)

I had a Bronco Sport FE order and my dealer asked me to cancel if I was not buying because it might affect his Bronco allocation. I thought he would want it but nope. So I told him to cancel.

This is a very interesting and engineering design concept. It reminds me of my first test drive of the Model S when they first came out. It was out of my price at $80 to 110K, and it looks like GM is starting the same way with this truck. Of course they already have the more mainstream Bolt. But this commercial made it seem exciting. I definitely wish them the best on this one. That said, I am still looking forward to my MME.:cool:

But the World Series is on.
Does it have a frunk divider?
is it bolted in?
Start button?
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
They showed it during the World Series. (e.g. the announcer's even introduced the commercial: "And now a first look at the all new....")

That thing is impressive but it’s SO massive! If you remember the H2. It was huge and driven by suburbanites. I shutter to think what’s going to happen when a soccer mom gets in that beast with a 3 second 0-60. Parking lots will be dangerous

*and* it will be crabbing during that 0-60 run...scary thought indeed!

Its so true - I see today very large SUVs and trucks and same deal at soccer practices or school activities
