Was afraid to open it - my husband was convinced that charging the car makes the meter spin like a top..... Drum roll please - we had 3% lower usage than last year. Which seems to mean that my son's MineCraft server, that is now with him at college, uses less electricity than the car. But here are the #s I ran for the 550 miles I have put on the car this month (yeah, I work from home and don't get out much)
Gas -would have cost $81 with my previous car at $2.80 avg per gallon
JuiceBox app says I charged a total of 167 KWH - this is 18% of my usage for the month. 18% of my electric bill = $34.
Savings $47
And I am in CT - which I believe has the highest electricity rates in the 48 contiguous states. Assuming my math holds up - this makes me very happy..
