$.0634/KWh here so… our August bill went up $9 (about 1.5 weeks of driving). Compared to nearly $16 per day for gas in the TT EB Flex. Saving about $300 a month. Commuting 90 miles a day will cost ~$33 a month in electrons. In a year I’ll save maybe $3300 or so depending on gas prices (nearly $4/gallon).

My electrician friend hooked it up. It's a little confusing that only one hot wire is needed through the induction coil, but it works.
Not really, the current in both legs of a 240V outlet is the same so you can put a CT on one side and be accurate.

Or at least if there isn’t current returned on the neutral wire, possible if the low voltage electronics in the EVSE is powered by one hot side and the neutral wire. But compared to the 6kW to 10kW used to charge the car it can be ignored.

Dang that is crazy high. No wonder y’all like solar out there. I pay flat 8c/kwh right now.
The electricity portion is less than 6 cents, but the delivery charge is another 5 cents. Of course there is this fee and that tax and yes even sales tax. New York state of mind is tax tax tax.

Was afraid to open it - my husband was convinced that charging the car makes the meter spin like a top..... Drum roll please - we had 3% lower usage than last year. Which seems to mean that my son's MineCraft server, that is now with him at college, uses less electricity than the car. But here are the #s I ran for the 550 miles I have put on the car this month (yeah, I work from home and don't get out much)

Gas -would have cost $81 with my previous car at $2.80 avg per gallon

JuiceBox app says I charged a total of 167 KWH - this is 18% of my usage for the month. 18% of my electric bill = $34.

Savings $47

And I am in CT - which I believe has the highest electricity rates in the 48 contiguous states. Assuming my math holds up - this makes me very happy..
That is some cheap gas! With the performance that your MME is providing, I would expect the car to require premium gas. Filled up with premium here in Littleton, CO today at it was $4.06/gallon. Costco cost for the same gas a few miles away is $3.86/gallon as of yesterday. Makes your car even more cost effective!

In SoCal you can get your rate all the way down to $0.08674 per kWh for Super Off Peak, which is pretty darn good. Looking at a 0% to 100% (or a 300ish miles of range) only costing you $7.63 cents! That is as long as you can charge between 12am and 6am. Outside those hours and it starts to get $$$$ lol

That is a great price. The electricity provider will install a separate meter and reduce the charge per kW for off peak, but they increase the charge for peak hours. So appliances, lights, electronics would pay a premium. I don't feel like washing clothes after midnight.

My electric bill is almost the same. Our socialist city government put free L2 chargers, so I get enough free juice for a day while walking my dogs.
Speaking of which, I'm hopefully getting my GT in November and have been debating what to do for charging since I don't have a garage. Just looked yesterday and found out a block from my house is free L2 charging. Solved all my problems, I can do 110v in my driveway and charge it at the school one block from my house while I work in the morning if I need a quicker charge.

I guess my only question then is do we really need to leave it plugged in 100% of the time for battery conditioning since I live in central Florida where it's been hot every day? If we do need to leave it plugged in I'll have to use the mobile charger outside in the driveway which means ill need to keep an eye out for rain and plan accordingly.

I am in northern NY and just got my MME in July. The past 2 electric bills show I am using just over 300 kWh more electricity this year compared to last year, which comes out to about $33 more per month. I have put almost 3,500 miles on my car in the 2 months I have had my car.

They don’t do that here, that would defeat the purpose of going on an EV plan…

This post was from the spring - so gas cost was at that time. Blissfully unaware of current cost per gallon!

It cost me 475$can since I have my car (february) for 19 000 km. It would have cost me around 3000$ with my old car.

According to Wallbox app, I"m using roughly $60/mo to charge my car. I drive 100 per day so 2000 miles per month. Was spending around $240 per month in Gas with a Lexus Hybrid

Having it plugged for conditioning is best so you don't lose range. AFAIK the mobile charger can be used outdoors.

My house used 3500kwh last month. My wife has discovered how to lower the AC. Im guessing my car was only a couple hundred of that.
