In the same way the old-fashioned fossil EcoBoost Mustang is different than the Mustang GT, I gotta think that the GT is just another animal altogether compared to the Select/Premium/California Route 1 cars.

Motorset, brakeset, ride height, front fascia, and optional Magneride suspension. Maybe even upgraded cooling systems? So much about the GT is on another level from the non-GTs.

Polestar and Brembo developed EV-specific performance brakes in order to reduce drag. It's possible the Mustang Mach-E GT can draft off of their work to help increase the GT's range.

The discussion isn’t about whether we can tell the GT apart from the non-GTs. That will be easy. The nose alone will give it away.
The question is will we be able to tell if it’s a GT Performance vs a standard GT?

I'm stoked about Mach-E GTs in general and can't wait to see them out on the road! There's a ton about the GTs to be excited about with lots of performance-oriented upgrades over a non-GT. Great to see the MME team at Ford has shifted to testing/calibrating the GT. Probably a crap ton of work to do between now and Late Summer 2021.

What are the points good for?
Oil changes. Triple points for revving engine at one at a stop light, then we’ll know if it’s Performance.
