169 lbs sounds right for 4 wheels though. I bet they missed the 1.
I bet they come in two packages of 69lbs each package containing two wheels. This is the way Tire Rack recently shipped new wheels we bought for my wife's car. A Mach E forum member weighed the GTPE wheels without tires and they weigh 33.4lbs each without tires

Those are the wheels I want, damn the range of my AWD Select. Figure I'll take a 20 mile hit to the range?

Do you think it would be that big of a range hit?

I am looking at these so hard for my Premium AWD. The only issue is that I really don't want to upsize from 19 in to 20 in. If Ford offered these in a 19x8 package I would snap them up today with no hesitation.

Yes, easily, especially at highway speeds. I think it is the main difference between the GT and the GTPE range. Certainly the Select wheels are more efficient than the GT wheels.

I read somewhere that it's about 7% loss or gain per inch of wheel diameter. The difference in tire width is nominal

I think aerodynamics is the root reason. Smaller rims have bigger tires, which have good areo properties (smooth rubber instead of spokes in a rim). Bigger rims have less tire surface area, because the tires have narrower sidewalls, relatively. Rotational air resistance (from the tire spinning) is what would be improved with smaller rims.

You know this how?
I also looked at
https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1007K-MACH1H
same price but the weight is listed as 167 lbs. Are you thinking that's the weight of a single wheel? Are you also thinking that a single wheel comes with 4 TPMS sensors and 4 center caps?

For now, it's slightly academic since they are on back order for a while.

The sold in units of each (1) is probably what is confusing 1 unit = 4 wheels

I think rolling resistance (tires) plays a part as well. I am going to find out when I mount a set of stock GT tires on the GTPE rims.

Should be a great test! Are you transferring your existing tires, or putting new ones on? The best test would be to transfer your existing tires, so you can do an easy before and after test.

Very interested to see what you find out. I bet you see a small highway range hit. The GTPE wheels look like they are less aerodynamic than the GT wheels, but of course wind tunnel testing is needed to really know that. Visually they look like they would catch more air moving and spinning.
