GTPE vs. Rivian R1T Drag Race

Out of Spec did a drag race palooza with every EV model they could get their hands on vs the R1T. The GTPE race starts around 9:42. Unfortunately no draggy or times, but the Mach-E clearly didn't win. Seeing all the snow in the background, I wouldn't be surprised it if had a few gray bars limiting power before they even started.

Gotta say, Rivian really knocked it out of the park.

Can't speak poorly of Ford here...Rivian just flat out made an amazing vehicle.

It even beat the Model 3 Performance, so yeah. It's just an impressively fast truck.

Rivian is pretty sick. Quad motor with over 800HP and 900+lb ft of torque I would expect it to do what it did.

It was in the 20 degree mark, according to the video. So the Mach E for sure had some grey bars ?

Yeah it smoked everything but the plaid.

Cold weather should affect everyone, we just know it seems to affect us more.

Rivian also still jumped half a car on the launch, not that it would have mattered. Our only chance was 0-50 or so.

The R1T beat the pants off of the Ram and Ford "super trucks."
And then beat the Raptor while the R1T was towing a GMC Syclone.

The Raptor is no drag racer. It’s worlds better than the TRX in real off roading situations according to owner accounts and I doubt the Rivian could do Baja things like those other trucks.

The Raptor R coming later this year would be the one I’d want to see in this race.

The interesting thing here isn't that the TRX or the R1T beat the Raptor in a drag race. It's that the R1T still has respectable get-up-and-go while towing.
