Happy accident at Ford service! I got the new updated SYNC 4A installed!! Non Early-Access

I couldn’t wait for the car. I dropped it off at 8am and they called at 4pm saying it was ready.

"Happy Accident at Ford". Took my car to get the second keyfob and left with the new sync. My car popped up the HVAC and the Electronic Module Recovery CSPs, so they updated it all when I brought it in for the key.

I got the HVAC and key fob along with a 15 module update but no update to SYNC.

I am jealous now

I got the new update using FDRS. I like the bigger screen for Android Auto and Waze. One little change I like is the fan speed and seat heater settings are adjusted using the center wheel, which makes more sense than having a slider. The seat heat still has a pop-up for the automatic setting.

Short of adding a physical switch, I don't think there is any way to not require looking to see what level you've set it to

Just having a standard tap to increase/turn off would be the easiest. yes, I have to confirm it's what I want it at, but I don't have to do so while I'm in the act of doing it. I can tap it 3 times for max and then check to confirm it's on that. With the current setup I have to stare at it while I am touching/dragging my finger.

it's just clunky compared to the alternative of tap once/twice/three times
