That sounds about right. Now we just need the OKTB or they'll be all dressed up with nowhere to go.
It's probably been answered a million times, but who exactly gives the OKTB again?

It's something Ford determines, although I'm not sure if there might not be some government approvals involved along the way too. Sounds like a checklist of sorts. Presumably involves a number of final checks.

Trutolife27 said they actually pick some random models off the lot and take some parts off to check and make sure it's all installed right and working properly. As well as other general inspection.

Just got back from my dealer to sign the order sheet for my Rapid Red FE. 🥳

Opted not to get the interior protection package yet. Want to see it (or at least pictures). Can always buy it later. Total MSRP after D&D and Rapid Red added = $59,800. X-Plan price $58,879.

I know I said I was not going to continue to beat this dead horse, but I did. Called my dealer today and he checked wbdo and said there was nothing in there for me regarding the FE (only my original order). He sent out an email to Ford asking about it and they responded with a document showing all orders they had for their specific dealership and there was in fact two orders for me (original premium and mach drop FE). The email also stated that not all FE orders are in wbdo at this time.

So... one crumb closer I guess.

Congrats!

Also worth noting that if you find a dealer that sells parts below MSRP, it's often cheaper to order the all weather mats at the parts counter than to order them with the car. For my Mustang, my dealer sold them 20% under MSRP if I recall so I saved money buying them at the parts counter.

That is a good idea. I already ordered mine with the mats though. I wonder how it will ship? I presume the car ships with the standard (carpeted ?) mats and then the all weather mats in the cargo area to be installed by the dealer? Or, will the dealer just pull the mats from his stock room and give me the box?

It depends. Sometimes they're in the car, and sometimes they get FedExed to the dealer with your VIN on the label - one time I ordered with the car and they forgot to give me the mats - had to go looking in the warehouse for "my" box.

Just got an email from my dealer indicating that he is seeing the MachDrop order in his system. Thats the good part. It is showing as Grabber Blue instead of Red and he asked me if he should change the color- and I am conflicted between these colors, so will have to give him an answer pretty quickly today.

When my dealer called me to offer up an FE, he asked me to chose a color. I was torn between the red and blue so I chose grey. :)
Haha - All my current cars are grey or black , so trying to avoid that - Red looks very nice but thinking that it has more purple/blue mix in it than to my liking; Blue is well - it starts to stand out too much and not sure I want to be easily spotted going a few miles over the speed limit ;)

I finally said enough of emailing my dealer only to be ignored. I decided to call today. I learned the dealer was on vacation in sunny California. I asked to speak to the general manager. Nice enough guy, but it was clear he didn't know anything about the Mach Drop program. He said he would look me up in the system and get back with me today. Well, it's now been 8 hours and it's 2225....I'm assuming he's not calling tonight. What's the deal with this effin dealership? I'm so frustrated.

Remember that the Rapid Red is a current color on many Fords now. You can always just drop by a dealership and see it in person. Probably 10-15% of all the vehicle on the lot were Rapid Red (Explorers, F-150's, etc) at my dealer.

I did that when making the final decision on mine. Even though it has some weird tints in online pictures (especially under fluorescent lights), it looks good in good outdoor light.

That's how every dealer I've ever interacted with works.

"We'll get back to you" means "go away, I want to drink my coffee and count my money in peace" to these guys.
