Heads up! 1.7.1 Stuck TSB Coming (Confirmed Fix)

Awhile back I posted about my failed 1.7.1 update. I took it to my dealership and they got in touch with Ford. A service engineer from Ford came and looked at the car and I just picked it up today. I have all the features I was missing, Frunk button, Notes app, Software version shows correctly now, automatic updates are back on, and my brightness controls work again! Attaching some photos for comparison against my old post. They said a TSB would probably be coming soon and this was one of the cars they used to help create it. Keep an eye out!

I’m surprised they didn’t update you to the latest version of Sync while they were at it. Maybe they wanted to leave it on 1.7.1 to see if 2.3.0 will install itself properly.

That's what I am thinking too. I am just glad it is finally unstuck again!

That is 100% why. It should now get the slew of updates over the next few days

Yes, for most people still stuck on 1.7.1 it will be a dealer visit

I can’t say. Maybe they will learn something from this for an OTA fix as for my case I did have to take it in.

That’s exactly what FDRS does… But it doesn’t work with the 1.7.1 bug currently. I tried… Just refuses to launch.

Agreed. I was able to do this for Sync on my 2019 5.0. Not sure why it isn’t an option on the Mach-E
