Did you end up with the Torklift and that 150 lbs of ebikes on the hitch and whatever carrier you ended up with? Has it been working well?I know this thread is old. I just wanted to thank you all for documenting this. I'm looking at a setup very similar to these but with two electric bicycles at a combined weight of 150 pounds. The 1Up seems to be the heaviest duty rack I can find.
My issue isn’t with the 1up supporting that weight of ebikes as their beefier one has hours for a couple of years just fine on a Jeep, but instead with the Mustang Mach-E supporting that weight.
I know Torklift touts a 525lb tongue weight, but the EU Mustang Mach e 2021 manual indicates a 165 lb vertical weight limit for a bike or cargo carrier.
Our 2 ebikes are 70lbs each, the 1up is 46 lbs, for a total of 186 lbs. So far haven’t seen anyone routinely carrying that much on any of the hitches.
