Welcome DT! We've used your shop here in Encinitas, likely will again.

And remember, producers of the longest running (and possibly) best commercial ever.

I did the same search...don't think they are in the northeast ....kept pointing me to Wichita KS.
When I started working at a tire dealer in CT our Discount Tire supplier had just been acquired by Englewood Tire of NJ. Today the corporate owner of Englewood Tire is ATD, American Tire Distributers of Atlanta. It’s possible that New England is a protected territory owned by ATD. They are selling through independent tire dealers and Tire Pro’s retailers.

What do you recommend for the California Route 1 stock size? I don't see much available on the website that I recognize.
Thank you for the inquiry, @orangethunder . We're happy to review your options - are you after tires, wheels or both?

Just tires, not many options and I'm not familiar with most models. I drive in Southern California so pretty easy driving conditions.
Thank you for he additional details, PM coming your way.

OEM tires (Primacy A/S 225/55/R19) are not available on the website - got a flat which is not patch-able and my local DT couldn't get the tire ordered as it's not in the system correctly. My rep is going to call Michelin on Monday, but anything I can share with him tomorrow when he calls me if he isn't able to get anywhere? I see this sizing available on Walmart, TireRack, Costco, etc.

I had a similar experience recently... Stopped by Discount Tire with a nail in the tire. It was too close to the sidewall, so "too risky to patch" is what the salesman said. But he couldn't find any suitable tire in the system. So he offered to call local Ford dealers to source one to resell and would call me back later in the week.

Except that never happened.

I also tried contacting Chapman Ford service, but just like other times I've contacted them in the past year or so, I got ZERO response... So I had the tire replaced at San Tan Ford.

Yeah, my plan was to see if I could just buy it 3rd party and have DT install it. I live 2 miles from DT and about 8 miles from SanTan Ford (even bought the car there at delivery), did not want to chance the longer drive as I was very quickly dropping pressure. I was driving home at 39 -> 32 when I noticed the issue -> 29 by the time I got home, then got out to inspect the tire and saw the massive nail, quick call to DT to make sure they could lift an EV and then I was at 21 by that point. When I got to DT, I was at 17. It's parked nose-in over there which worries me a bit, and the widget has been sitting at 2psi since I dropped it off pretty much lol.

Oy.... Luckily mine was losing air much much more slowly. It's my only vehicle, so I reinflated the tire while waiting several days for the replacement.

Have purchased many tires from Discount over the last 3+ decades. Mostly Michelins, but not exclusively - some were special orders(8ply for 1T light truck). Most recently replaced the Bolt's tires there.
Even though their origins were someplace up north (GO BUCKEYES).
They moved west (headquarters) about the time I did the same.
They have a shop 1.7 miles from me(it burnt down a few years ago. Had to travel to next closest, ~ 7 miles away for a set of tires while they rebuilt - bad timing).
Free air (never thought that would be rare), rotate tires, etc. - always professional and busy but efficient.
I can even send the wife there, no worries.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to get you taken care of with the replacement tire!

We do not have an internal part number available just yet for the OE Primacy A/S. With that being said though, we can order it. Your local store will need to place an order with Michelin directly using Michelin's P/N which is 35915. The only kicker is, this tire is currently on back order status with a minimum ETA of 4 weeks.

With that being said, the store may be able to source a set through local distribution if it's available. If they are unable to locate one, you could always order from our sister company, Tire Rack, and have it shipped to your store. Same in store installation charges would apply 👍

I'm glad to hear you located the replacement tire you needed, though please accept my apologies for the breakdown in communication. That should not have happened and I thank you for letting us know.

I would love the opportunity to help you the next time you're in the market, should you give us the opportunity to do so. Please shoot me a PM here on the forum.

Thanks, my rep did end up calling me and letting me know the tire was on backorder, however I also found the tire on TireRack and had it shipped to the store in 1 day (supposed to arrive today). A bit odd, but glad it should be resolved shortly.

Can't believe my OEM tires are wearing out ar 20k! Thought Mich would last longer. I am not a crazy driver at all. What is a good, efficient EV tire to replace these? Hopefully lasting longer than 20k!
