Quick update: We don't have a full Mach-E install video uploaded yet, but the mirror harness setup is almost identical to the 7th gen Mustang.

Good question! While both use integrated OEM-style housings, the main differences are under the hood:

• Sensors: We use genuine Sony STARVIS sensors (including STARVIS 2 options for better night vision) instead of generic sensors.
  
  
• Internal Thermal Design: Ours uses an aluminum alloy core inside for better heat dissipation under direct sunlight, which helps stability during long drives.
  
  
• Internal Wiring: Full FPC flexible ribbon cables inside to keep things reliable over rough roads.
  
  
• GPS Module : Comes standard on our models.

So the outer housing fitment is basically the same, main difference is just the sensor and internal thermal setup.

Fair enough, totally get why it looks that way since a lot of brands share similar shell concepts.

The difference is we actually own our factory, so we aren't just reselling off-the-shelf parts. If users flag a fitment or design issue—like how we're currently working with the guys over on MaverickTruckClub to tweak our housing based on their feedback—we can actually go in and update the mold.

I like the FitcamX OEM look but the deal killer for me was no GPS. That is essential evidence in the event of a crash. I like the look of this one too and it has GPS.

All our dashcam setups include GPS. It’s just a small module—you can run it to the dash, but mounting it right on the housing cover keeps everything looking OEM while keeping a strong satellite signal.

how does that gps mount onto the assembly? 3m tape?

That looks like the GPS antenna (just an antenna) that came with aftermarket head units such as Pioneer and Kenwood, pretty typical for any GPS add-on (unless mounted in the device itself)...

Yep, just double-sided tape(unless you've got some extra web-fluid laying around @Spidey616)!

Our standard spot is on the corner of the dash, but a user showed us this setup on the housing cover. Looked so clean I had to share it for reference.

Yeah, standard external GPS antenna. Keeps the footprint small and the satellite lock solid.

I would like to know if you could also integrate your camera software wise with Ford system Sync4.

This is the main reason I have chosen this camera.

Could you make Sync4 think that your device is Ford Sync4 integrated camera like this one from the link? That would be an extra advantage.

Also camera form the link is compact but has GPS sensor already inside it. No need for external piece. Could you do it the same way and enclose GPS inside housing?

For SYNC 4, true OEM-style integration would require working with Ford's proprietary vehicle and infotainment interfaces, so it's considerably more complex than simply adding a camera input.

For internal GPS, we kept it separate on purpose. Keeping the GPS module away from the main electronics helps with thermal management and reduces potential EMI, which gives us more consistent satellite reception.
