someone was claiming that you lose some points each year if you don’t use them.
Not sure what the programme parameters are in the US, but in Canada all you need is one transaction a year - either earn or redeem - to keep the points. In my case that's the 16k "service" / seasonal tire swap.

Alright, apologies for the post title, but I've now accumulated around 100k in FordPass points and have no idea what to do with them, or even what the redemption process is.

First a few "new to Ford" questions:
  • Roughly how far dollar-wise do the points go? How much are 100k points roughly "worth"?
  • Seems like redemption can only be done at the dealership?
I got my dealer to throw in the Mach-E winter mats and I bought a WeatherTech trunk liner, so other than maybe the 10,000 service I'm not sure what else exists that may be worthwhile.

I assume anything I see here https://accessories.ford.ca/ is fair game?

Thanks in advance!
My dealership in Niagara Falls state that 40,000 points is worth $200

On the Canadian side of the border? So they’re assuming fx is 1:1. That’s not a good value.

FordPass points are worth 1/2 cent, whether that's a US cent or a Canadian cent. There is no differentiation in the award level for buying the vehicle either.

A Canadian owner, if possible, should spend their points on a US site if they will ship to Canada.

I think we are pooched - if I log in to ford.com I have 0 FordPass Points. So I'm guessing a "local" dealer (Buffalo in my case) would see the same information if I tried to redeem at a dealership. I assuming they are run as separate programmes, as there are also differences vs. the US - we have no tiers for example.

The difference in points is probably sent to Revenue Canada as "tax", and used to maintain their fleet
