Help on road trip my drive selector light is turning off

I have a 2021 Mach-3 with 3700 miles I’m on a road trip and as I drive in D the letter is orange on the dash as normal but then the D turns dark while I’m driving
do I need to stop and get towed in or can I cont on my 600 mile trip

Does it still drive? If so, I vote for “keep driving until It won’t drive anymore”.

Car errors have colour codes:
- Yellow: keep driving and deal with it later
- Red: stop
- No error: press the gas pedal even further and keep driving

If it drives, and the selector knob stays in D, I would not worry about it.

A feature, not a bug. Every other manufacturer will follow the trend...

I see that all the time. It's just a bug with the display. Don't worry about it.

I've never seen the PRNDL on the display. Possibly not there in Unbridled mode?

Same here - I get it once in a while but I've never had any mechanical issues with it; I wouldn't sweat it. You are fine to drive.

Thats just the display, happens all the time if i drive more than 10 miles. Seems like you can make it happen faster if you put it in L drive down a hill then turn L back off. If you notice D is still selected but has crept a few pixels up.
