Hey Ford,

Is there is a plan yet to offer traditional RCL Leasing in addition to Options?

RCL has not been announced yet. We should have the real financing programs in December when deliveries start.

Ford will not be offering RCL leasing. Any true leases will be through third parties.

Sorry, I missed the last half of the Ford Options weekly status meeting last week. I only attended for the end to end testing updates to monitor if they needed any help from our team. I must have missed that plans had changed back.

Well maybe I shot my mouth off too soon. I only know the original plans for balloon loans disguised as leases that Ford said would be their ‘leasing‘ option for the Mach-E. If you are aware of a change in plans that as yet has not been announced I defer to you.

Bad decision by Ford.
If you read the rest of this discussion, it becomes clear that Woeo doesn't work for Ford and might not be accurately representing their plans here. We don't yet know what financing options Ford Credit will offer at time of delivery, and how those compare to all of your other options.

I'll trust @hybrid2bev on the best information on lease options.

I didn't see an answer in that article. What did I miss?
More related to the possibility of not getting the tax credit in a lease versus getting it using the Options.

OK, I see. Well most manufacturers pass the credit on and I assume that Ford would as well, if they offered a lease. If they didn't, then ya that would not be a good deal. Given the choice, lease with credit or Ford Options, I would take the lease.

Who's eating crow from this thread?
Ford obviously. Despite Ford's very public proclamations that RCL would not be offered, (I can pull up all their statements if you want) they had to reverse their previous stance.

Ford continues to struggle with clear communications.

Compare VW Credit's very clear and transparent communication regarding the ID.4, many months before the ID is scheduled to go on sale.

If Ford did not know whether or not they would be offering RCL, they should have just stated that.

Instead Ford chose to announce RCL would NOT be offered.

Then Ford started to waffle and say it might be offered in the future, but only after the tax credits were expired.

Now, today, weeks before the first delivery, Ford completely changes their messaging on leasing.

A definite unforced error on Ford's part.

And one could equally pull up plenty of your "informed" posts that Ford would not offer a lease until after the incentives were up, despite being told you were incorrect over and over by someone that actually knew something.

Be an adult and admit you were wrong.

Oh, and withdraw your complaints that Ford is out to screw everyone.
