Just checking in to see if the latest IOS update, 16.4, has broken anything in your MME? I'm always nervous a new update is going to break something!

Worked great for me driving home last night after putting on 16.4 and out this morning again. No issues. Used CarPlay, navigation, listened to music, and listened to podcasts. Used the Siri suggestion to open my garage door. All worked.

Do you happen to know if your trip planner in fordpass is working? Bill P

Seems to be? I can’t head down to the car right now, but I created a new trip in the FP Trip Planner and sent it to the vehicle without any errors.

No, DOWNLOAD IT ASAP! It adds voice isolation to normal phone calls, it is a dream for the receipient of your calls now! Tested it with my wife - voice isolation off, normal road and crazy wind noise, not to mention the call breaks up a good amount because of the road and wind noise.

Voice isolation on - silence. She said it is slightly echoey at times, but that is the only hint I'm even driving.

Once you're on 16.4, voice isolation is on by default on phone calls.

This was done on a freeway going 78 mph.

Sadly, that IS kind of a too normal thing with FordPass. One man’s feast is another man’s famine.

FYI - I've been running iOS 1.4 for a while since I'm part of the public beta program with no new issues introduced with the MME.
Across the board, things are slowly getting better with iOS, the Ford Pass app, and the current sync system (4.2.2 for me). NOT perfect but making progress.

Siri can open your garage door? How does that work?

Installed last night and didn't notice nay difference driving today. Only used Overcast and Maps and both were fine.

Siri can open your garage door? How does that work?
I have a HomeKit-enabled garage door receiver. I am pretty sure Siri’s integration with the Home app would allow Siri to open it (I just push the button on my phone since I have Siri’s listening disabled). 😊🐩

My iPhone 12 ProMax was slow to connect to CarPlay the first time after the iOS update but it’s been fine since then.

carplay is really intelligent about this - if you are in the "multi-app" display then when you are near your home one of the tiles is for the garage door opener. touch it and the door opens/closes. way easier than asking siri to open the garage door (it always seems to want to confirm what home i'm talking about despite the fact that only one of my homes has something called "garage door")

how about PAAK? did anything break on 16.4?

Steve, do you have Siri completely disabled or just the listening disabled? I have the listening disabled so if I want Siri, I push the voice button on the steering wheel then I ask Siri to open the garage door or anything else I am needing (music, navigation, etc.)
