I got a message on the Ford app that my Mach E had a “High-Voltage Battery Warning.” The last time that happened it was a precursor to the “stop safely now” message, and then total failure.
My dealer can’t look at the vehicle for a few days. Is this a bad warning or was it due to the low battery level? The battery was down to 8% (my son was driving it, I never let it get that low).

Was/is there an error message in the car?

The message has nothing to do with you being at 8% charge.

The warning you stated is likely an impending failure of the high voltage battery junction box. If you had it before, was it before late May when they changed the part?

Your dealer should be able to see it online at the dealership. If it's the HVBJB, you'll want them to order it via COPIS, and you call Ford's and ask the BEV team for a case number.

Thanks Rick. It last happened in February of 2021. I appreciate the quick reply and will relay this to the dealer.

Good morning! If you are able to send us a private message containing your VIN and dealership info, I'd be happy to see how I can help on my end.

If your HVBJB failed in February 2021, then the old part was put in.

Just wanted to update the post. I just heard from the dealer who agreed that the HVBJB needs to be replaced (at no cost).
Now, will this be the last time I have to do this? If not, it may be time for a different car.
