Went 250 miles to Formula Ford in Vermont 3 weeks ago to get a cancelled reservation Rapid Red AWD ER for my wife. We both love it so much, that today I went 160 miles the other way to pick up a Shadow Black AWD ER for myself. DJ Wilson at Shepard Ford in Canandaigua, NY bent over backward to make this a good purchase. Now I can quit making up excuses to take her car places on my days off work.

I'd ordered an ID4 1st Edition for my wife, but had to cancel it due to our landlord pulling our rental unit off the market via the Ellis Act. We're negotiating our buyout, but just too much uncertainty to buy a second car in a month with all that going on. Plus that ID4 was predicated on paying $2k to get out from our crappy BMW X1 lease 7 months early with some cash we got from selling our home office equipment (we hate the X1 that much). Either way, we have no choice but to make a decision in September/October when the lease is up.

With my happiness with my Mach E I'm not ruling out getting my wife one if we can negotiate a proper buy-out from our landlord, but all reasonably priced BEVs like the ID4, EUV, EV6, Niro, Kona Ionic 5 will be on the table (if available to take home). Cost will be a bigger factor, but in CA we get $11k in rebates and credits, so that will help. All I know is I don't want to ever get a fully ICE vehicle ever again.

Yes they do. But I think I just doubled my annual electricity consumption. So I’ve already got more panels scheduled.

I don’t know. Probably. But I am anti-PAAK. At first we both had our phones paired to her Mach-E for PAAK. But I leave for work very early and we park next to each other. I go to get in my truck to head to work, her car unlocks, pony lights come on... then I pull away, her lights go off, the horn honks. Nobody needs that at 4:30 AM.
So it will be one phone per vehicle for us and I’ve bought an extra fob for each. So if I need to take her’s, I just have to make sure and grab my red jacketed fob from inside.

Already working on finishing the garage roof with panels. When they come to do that, I guess I’ll have to start adding to the roof on the house.
