Hmm, I do not think an EV 6 is in my future.

I thought the red EV6 in the Alex on Autos video actually looks pretty cool. I would not buy one, but equally won't sh*t on someone who wants one.

Some people like Pugs...some people like Golden Retrievers...but they both like dogs.
but what about hunting poodles? @HuntingPudel needs proper representation! 🐩

I actually like the look of the EV6, the faster DC charging would be nice. The local Kia dealer had one so I went to check it out and openly a really nice car both trunk and frunk are considerably smaller than the MME. It drove quite well you can tell it's lighter than the MME, my MME has non-stock tires and I would say it's a similar ride. Because I already own an EV I am holding out for the next tech breakthrough hopefully 2025-2027. If I were on the market it would be a serious contender.

Here is the Poodle representation

And if you were wondering her name is Chloe and she is 5 and weighs 3.5lbs. The wife's dog.

How's that drivers seat legroom? I keep dreaming of the days in my VW Bus when I didn't have my knee/leg hitting the middle console. Also, are the seats typical Hyundai seats? I usually find them a little narrow and firm. What's interesting about the EV6 and the Ionic 5 is that you can trade-off a few things and get a $6500 (Wind w/Tech) or $8500 (I5 SEL)cheaper EV with the same power.
I traded in my 17-yr-old Nissan 350Z 6 sp coupe because of high "markup" on used car sales (e.g. good time to sell) and because the aging bones found it harder to squat and scootch for entry. I found the Ioniq 5 interior space very roomy, seat and door sill 2" lower than ICE SUV, higher than sports car,, particularly top door opening, much easier entry and exit (compared to low sports car), and very adjustable driver's seat position. Moveable center console is nice feature, allowing custom positioning. When adjusted for my 6'2" frame, leg room is just right and steering wheel at 3/4 arms length. However, in full recline, the driver's seat does not support my lower legs. (EV6 seemed much more "closed in" for my dimensions.) Plenty of headroom (unlike Kia EV6 with moonroof). To date, I still haven't so much as sat in an MME, but of course, I expect it to be much better than the sports car and about the same as other BEV compact SUV. Don't know yet about MME seat adjustments, either.
I enjoy the Hyundai Ioniq 6 Ltd a lot. I am still waiting to see if I will enjoy the MME, as much.

I was gonna do the same, ugliest car ever. Back in the day one of my friends won the lottery and she bought one of those. I remember seeing it and laughing

I was going to buy a EV6. Had one on order for 8 months. The dealer called and gave me an updated ship date of 6 to 9 months out. I went with the mache because it came in a bright blue color. Isn't a terrible car. I think the EV6 is a better looking vehicle though. Deff like the interior better.

20,000 RPM is bananas, our cars top speeds are driven by the Borg Warner 13,800 RPM maximums. They are nice efficient motors with a good power curve, but I'm not sure what design changes are needed to bridge a gap that large in design RPM.

To be clear, I think it is largely academic - unless you live along to the Autobahn or are an avid racer the ~120mph top speed is PLENTY.
My car traps over 140mph in the 1/2 mile. It's something nice. When you spend over $50k on a performance vehicles, having a top speed lower than many 4 cylinder SUVs is kinda pathetic.
