Hi,

I’m keen on changing the original 19” wheels, think it’s called AWD ER Performance in the us.

however don’t want to sacrifice too much range.

what do you guys think about the possibility of creating plastic fitting aero inserts in these rims for example?

was thinking to cut with an angle so that they can’t fall straight into The wheel if they come loose but fall outwards.

superglue or is there a more sophisticated way of attaching?

this sounds like a really bad ideain my head so wanted to get peoples view…

picture taken from someone at the forum.

thanks

A more reliable way of increasing range is to find a set of 18 inch wheels. (~7% range change per inch of wheel size between 18-20 inches)

please, do not use super glue on your rims.

Removing aero covers is one thing but not sure it would be wise to add aero covers that are not tested for balance, etc. I am not a mechanical engineer but I would assume creating an unbalance with wheel rotation could cause you some issues.

thanks all. Especially this (if not previous replies) makes it a no-go.
Will look around to see if I find any aero 19” that are decent, otherwise will have to wait a year or two and hope more selections will come.
