That information is generally correct. The exact breakeven point is determined by how clean the electricity put into the battery is generated. The average is around 15k to 20k miles, but can be higher or lower if you're in west virginia or have solar panels. The kicker is that the break-even point is about 20k miles - after which the BEV is much better for the environment. (I recently either read that or saw it on youtube, can't remember where so take it with a grain of salt).
