I no longer trust that the car is locking as I walk away since I don't hear the honk. Has anybody else ran into this? I've been locking via the app again just to make sure.

Edit: It looks like the car is in fact not locking. Setting is on.

There is a setting that maybe you have changed it. I turn the horn off for my car. I know the car is lock when the mirrors folded.

Ah thanks, I found it in the manual. Settings -> Audible Feedback. I will check that next time I'm in the car.

So the setting was already turned on but toggling it off/on fixed it.
Edit: Confirmed that the car isn't actually locking consistently.

That's one of the first things I turned off!

I just ran into the issue again and the setting is definitely on. I kept my eye on the car as I walked far away and the mirrors never folded in, so it probably never locked. I used the app to lock it and they folded.

I'm using the phone as key, but until this is fixed I may need to start carrying the fob.

How far is far? Maybe you didn't go far enough and the bluetooth is still engaged.

At least 100 feet. When it's working it locks very quickly, probably around 8 feet away.
Mine has usually wired at about 15’ but we’re still learning about the Mach E.

Yea its quirky. Sometimes I walk to the back near the trunk and it locks. And other times, I can be like you said 100 ft away and nothing. Wish the manual lock was reliable, was only able to manually lock the car once. 7/8, 9/0, lock icon...nothing...tapping, holding for a few seconds...zip
