When I go into the app and set the "target charge" to 100%, and press save, it jumps down to 95%. (23 Premium Extended)

That's fine, generally. For daily use I prefer 85%.

What about a day I'm about to road trip, or have a long day, and want that extra 5% that I paid for?

It appears I have one choice: press the "start" button in the app.

But that starts charging *NOW* and avoids the "charge window". My electric company charges me literally 2x higher rates till I think 10pm, then "shoulder rates" to midnight, then EV rates from midnight. I really want to use my "charge window".

How do I get 100%, and charge only in my charge window (saving literally 2x the price per KWH), without waking up at midnight and pressing the START button (or charging to 95% then pressing the charge button in the morning)?

Request to Ford: explain why you are banning people from 100% target charge. Always.

Unless you're REALLY REALLY worried about battery lifetime and wear?

Could be a ford pass glitch, you should be able to set it to 100%, try setting it in the car and it should go over to the app. Or hit the start button when its in your window Are the 2 ways.
Good point, also I've had issues with the Ford pass app not matching ford dot com settings. It was preventing turning on and turning off plug n charge in the app

You may want to log into Ford and check what settings for your vehicle with Ford or Ford pass online

I had an issue with my Pixel 9 Pro where I couldn't set my charge value to 85%. It had to do with a certain resolution that Ford Pass didn't like. If you have an Android phone, see if you can change to different resolutions to see if that helps.

It took many, many months before a new Ford Pass version fixed the issue.

Ford is not banning 100% charge on FP. I know because I have had occasions to charge to 100% on L2 at home before travel. Maybe the issue is your electric rate/charge timing window.

Probably just a glitch. I have had problems changing from 80% to 90% occasionally (and vice versa). It seems like the car has to 'wake up' and accept the change. After trying several times, it will eventually accept it.

I had the same experience. I had to set it three or four times - it kept timing out trying to send the info to the car, but it's there now.

Interestingly when I put it back to its normal 80% position, the car accepted it right away. But before folks start in on Ford conspiracies, I suspect that it was simply because the car was awake now. So I tried again to set it to 100% and sure enough, it did it quickly. Same when I moved it back to 80%.

I'm pretty sure when I drive the car tomorrow, the SYMC display will look like this:

This is a good explanation, reset the screen resolution and text size back to default on your phone, reboot, and try again. If you have extremely large text or graphics, that may affect the functionality.

If it doesn't work on the phone, then get in the car and change it there.

Sometimes it's just a glitch and will work the next day. Car may also be in a poor cellular coverage area.

With this thread i do think it is likely a bug.

( Not sure how bugs get downgraded to "glitches" ).

What's the best way to report to ford so it gets fixed someday?

(I am in this situation now and did the "press start in the morning while in window" , that's probably my easy work around for the bug. Interesting idea about screen rez, although the funny thing is how it will be on 100pct, then i press save, then in about a minute when the save is complete it jumps back to 95. I like the eventual consistancy theory, since the setting has to get to the car, it maybe accounts for the "jump" .. I will try the multiple times thing. May also try from the car, that seems primitive but needs must i suppose)

I know with my situation, I can’t make changes to the settings from my phone when my car is in the garage. We have poor cell coverage and the garage has steel siding. My option is only from the dash, and only when parked in the garage.
