I searched the threads here..google..apple..Ford..I cannot find out how to remove the volume limit on my Mach E stereo. I have an Iphone11 as my PAC. I have Apple carplay with typical apps including YouTube. I have playlists set up on YouTube and often play them through the YouTube app on the car.
My problem is the majority of the time I will get a message when the volume hits 14 that it's the MyKey volume limit. Some recordings are at a lower volume and the car needs to be turned higher...for some songs.
I have gone through every settings menu on the car screen..cannot find one that addresses the volume. The Ford help is for the technology that you access the menus through the steering wheel..no help. Some internet threads blamed it on bug with the Waze app...I have it as an app...checked every setting and preference option..nothing about sound.
Can someone please help a brother out??
Thanks in advance to the Mach E community..I have learned sooooo much on this forum.

First, MyKey is a misnomer. It should be called TeenagerKey or ValetKey. It’s meant for a driver you don’t fully trust with the car. ??

That said, it sounds like the key your car is recognizing is designated as a MyKey. Get your SuperUser key and remove the MyKey limitation. It should be fairly straightforward. Just follow the instructions starting on P67 of the owner’s manual. ??

Thanks! When I was searching the menus in the car, I didn't have my primary fob visible..I keep it in a Farady Pouch..an idea I picked up on this forum! Great for when the car isn't recognizing my phone OR if I need to leave my elderly mom in the car for a trip into a store and don't want to set the alarm off..this is a great solution for the pets setting off the alarm also.

The volume limiter was ON when I located the MyKey menu once the car knew the primary key was present..I can play my favorites at the appropiate volume!

I'll leave this post up in case there are others that have the volume limiting problem.
Thanks Mach E forum!

If you really have a “MyKey” with limits set on it, you’re going to have to talk to your dad ?
