I don’t get on the highway much right now. It seems like I’ve been getting a lot of updates lately and I did get a notice from Ford that I will get a one year free trial of BlueCruise. How do I know if BlueCruise is already installed short of getting on the highway and trying it out? Under cruise control in settings i just see the same normal and adaptive cruise control that has always been there

Visit the connected services page of your Ford.com profile. If it shows Blue Cruise on there, you have it.
Since you got the email saying you have 1-yr free, that usually means your car has been fully updated to Blue Cruise.

There are no additional settings to configure, it will just come on.

It would show a trial expiration date one year after it was activated.

Has your vehicle been into the dealership for 21P22?

Then BlueCruise has not been activated, or you don't have the last update that contains the maps yet.

Does the Connected Services page on your Ford account show an Expiration Date?

Is there something I have to do? When it was at the dealer for inspection a month ago they asked if I wanted to leave it there to do the BlueCruise update but they said I had to leave it there for 2 days which seemed ridiculous so I declined. Isn’t there a way to do this as an OTA?

It was at the dealer a month ago for the annual inspection but I don’t know if they did that particular update

Maybe you should have opened the thread with the information that you declined the BlueCruise update from your dealer. OTA is possible, but seems to be slow going while they seem to do vehicles in batches.

Ford has a pretty generous definition of what "soon" means. What they mean is sometime between tomorrow and the end of our solar system.

All I asked was how to tell if I had BlueCruise. I didn’t need to lead with that. It wouldn’t have lead to the answer I was looking for

Maybe but when they said I had to leave the car there for two days (no loaner) it seemed a bit insane. It wasn’t important enough to me to do that
Keeping the car two days for a software update does sound a bit insane, but unfortunately that's how long it could take. Depending on how many and which modules are being updated, it could be 8-9 hours while they all are installed/updated. Add in some buffer for FDRS bugs/troubleshooting, and two days is about right.

I finally got my last update today for Blue Cruise, according to the app and my car. It took a lot longer than I was expecting for all the updates to come through. However I do not have the lane centering with hands-free option in my cruise control options. I've checked my account and it shows that my trial started today for the Blue Cruise. Every indication I have shows that I should have it, but the options do not appear. I've turned off my car and let it sit for an hour, and then turned it back on, even took it for a small drive, but still nothing.

Anybody have any ideas what's going on? I really don't want to go to the dealership or wait on hold with Ford customer service to figure this out.
