Apologies if this is answered somewhere else in multiple threads. I did use search, honest.

How do I know what software version or update number I'm running, and how do I know whether I've had an update? The manual doesn't seem helpful here, and the big screen in the car always just says "you're up to date."

I'm set up to receive the big updates in the evening on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (because "WTF" seemed appropriate). Also, I'm aware other updates come in while driving.

My best guess is I haven't received any updates or I'd see them on Fordpass or someplace.

What's the hive wisdom on this?

Thanks!

There will be a check mark on your center screen next to the vehicle icon upper left corner.

This ^^^

You cannot see what "version" you're on, except with Sync. You can only see the latest update that was applied OTA, for a period after it is applied, then it will revert to say you're up to date.

If the dealer does any module updates, you can't see any of those either.
