Spoke with a knowledgeable service rep at Ford dealer. 1. All automobiles ( ice or ev ) now use Soy-based wire insulation that rodents eat! 2. Absolutely no way to seal off those harnesses!
Many rural garages are virtually impossible to seal...but are not large enough to employ barn cats. Strobe lights and ultrasonic repellents are designed and advertised to catch buyers, not repel rodentia. So I am going with 5gal bucket kill traps, and snap traps. Also subscribed to purchase an 4oz bottle of 100% peppermint oil every six months to make our own sachets for the frunk and spray bottle for area in front. We will also park outside when the Mache isn't going to be driven for several days.
Beyond that, comprehensive on auto insurance can be claimed, as repair is not covered under warranty!
