Good article that should help ease concerns for new adopters of BEVs. Our warranty on Mach E covers us for 8 years and even then battery will likely last for the life of the vehicle given that our starting capacity is high to begin with. Yes range will decrease over time but should still be sufficient for most people. The 2.3% per year battery degradation average the article references includes both air cooled and liquid cooled batteries, with liquid cooled showing much better battery resilience. So battery replacement will likely never be an issue for Mach E unless we are looking to upgrade to a newer battery tech at some point.
