Depends on your definition of 'produce'.

Order to delivery, yeah probably anywhere from 3-6 months nowadays.

Back when mine was built in mid-Dec 2020 it was about a 10 day process to actually build the vehicle. From the time it was 'Sent to Plant' (12-07-20) to the day it was considered 'produced' (12-17-20).

What is the line rate at the plant? Cars per hour?

My GT has been in production since 7/16 and still no ETA posted as of 7/23, so it varies I guess..

So apparently no one knows, so I will take a SWAG. In order to sell 50,000 MMEs the first year as predicted, they are averaging 6,000 per month, which allows for downtime and other losses. 6,000 per month divided by average 22 working days per month is 272.7 per day. Assuming two shifts production, 272.7 divided by 16 hours is 17 cars per hour.
How'd I do? Close?

My GTPE was "in production" starting August 21st (which was a Saturday) and was "built" by Sept. 1st. From there it went to the Mexican parking lot to await chip assemblies. Reportedly shipped out via train on Sept. 15th. Hasn't reached the Kansas train hub yet. Ford is telling me to expect delivery to the dealer Oct. 20th-26th (I'm in Northern California), so Ford must be doing further chip assembly installs at the train hub. Trains are slow, but not 35-40 days slow.

UPDATE: Dealer told me to expect it on the 26th, ACTUAL arrival date, and the day I picked it up, was Oct. 15th.

Not saying this is the case, but I've seen a fair share of people who were expecting a delivery by X date, actually get them at the dealer like 2 weeks early. The 35-40 days, I'm sure is just an estimate to cover their butts

Got my build date 12/15. Interesting to see when I get in production notification. I’m thinking 10 days prior. From what I’ve read the assembly line takes 10 days.
Any thoughts!

It takes a day or so to actually build it. The car is not literally "in production" during the time the tracker shows that. The only exception would be if it was built missing some parts and then put on hold before parts (chips) were installed.

I did get my “in production “ novice on 12/7 along with the window sticker. Build date 12/15. Probably actually start the build on 12/13 and completed on 12/15. Then ship a day or two later.

My GT-PE was scheduled for production the “week of 10/4/21.” It was “built” on 10/9/21. It was “shipped” on 10/14/21. So, depending on how Ford defines these milestones… ?‍♂?
