I was thinking the Mach E was my second but someone's comment reminded me that I inherited a Pinto for a while through marriage.

My Grandfather worked for Ford Aerospace for more than 30+ years and retired with the employee discount program but this will only be my third Ford. I never even considered another manufacturer until I bought my first used car as an older adult. Happy to be back in the fold though. This car has completely blown me away. I haven't driven this many complain free miles in a very long time.

2 that were provided by parents:
1967 Galaxie 500 (with 289 V8)
1973 Pinto wagon (2.0 liter I4, 3 speed automatic. Most days could get 0-60 in under 3 minutes;))

The ones I bought:
1981 Escort 2 door hatchback (only manual transmission I ever owned)
1992 Explorer XLT (Caymen Green, one of my favorite colors I have ever owned)
2000 Expedition Eddie Bauer (5.4 V8)
2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer (5.4 V8)
2013 Escape Titanium (2.0 Ecoboost)

I also bought these non-Fords (but have owned at least one Ford since 1992):
1984 Chrysler Laser
1987 Chevy S-10 Blazer
1991 Chevy S-10 Blazer (4-door model)
1996 Honda Accord
2010 Lexus IS250 (one and only lease)

Now down to the Mach-E and Tesla Model 3 listed in profile.

There were two Grand Torino police cars too.

Me
'78 Merc Cougar
'11 F-150
'19 Fusion Energi
next Up MME GT PE

Other - 72 Beetle Vert, Golf GL, New Beetle, LR Freelander, VW Touareg, Audi A3, 2 Bmw e36s (race cars). BMW e34 and an e46 M3..

The only one i disliked was the Freelander. (too small, under powered, terrible mileage, expensive to maintain)

ALL my father ever bought were Ford Motor products so he had multiple Fords and mostly Mercurys growing up (8+ cars). He also had a Lincoln Mark VII. My older brother had a 67 Mustang; my sister had a 70 Fairlane (I think - not sure of model) and my younger brother a Ford Pinto 1972 but again not sure of year.

I've had a number of Fords:
68 Mustang (by marriage)
73 Torino (first car I ever bought)
77 LTD II (I think - can't remember precise year)
77 Ford Fiesta (again not sure of exact year)
2002 Thunderbird Premium (hardtop/convertible) Partial Accent Interior
2010 Lincoln MKS
2016 Ford Titanium Fusion Hybrid
2021 Mustang Mach E Premium BEV

Along the way I've had: Audi 5000; Lexus RX 300; Toyota Corollas (2) Prius PHEV (2); Acura Legend (2) CL (1) MDX (2); Plymouth Volare; Buick Riviera, Park Avenue, Skylark; Cadillac XTS; and a used Chevrolet (Vega).

Owned:
‘75 Mercury Cougar with a 400 as a first car
‘96 Contour SE as my first new car after college
‘08 Mercury Mariner Hybrid which I sold to my parents after I got the MME

I learned to drive on an ‘86 Tempo, and my parents had a couple of Tauruses after that (and even a Pinto for a while) so I grew up driving Fords.

But I have to say, Lincoln dealerships are a world apart from Ford dealerships. I always received a loaner car when my Lincoln was being serviced, and they washed it as well. I thought the same would happen with the MME, but nope, not happening.

Lincoln dealers to provide a loaner but both Lincoln dealers were absolute trash here in St. Louis when I owned my Continental. I actually took it to a Ford dealer because the Lincoln dealers were so bad. Just horrible customer service from the service dept.

I was conceived in the back of a ‘67 Falcon, if that counts.

My family had a ‘79 Ranger pickup for many years, which was a heck of a truck until it rusted into bits. I remember being sent out in the winter as a kid to pee on the locking hubs to unfreeze them.

Fast forward to my MachE, and my Ford experience has suddenly gotten a lot classier!
