How To: Enable Power Meter on Non-GT Mach E

Gonna try this.

Drove a friend's Tesla for a bit, they have one.

The key feature is being able to fine-tune your braking so you get 100% regen all the time. The Tesla power bar shows when you're regen, when the brakes are active in addition. I'm hoping this feature make obvious when you hit maximum regen.

Brake Coach says after the fact if you didn't brake well, but it doesn't show how. The tesla power meter tells you how. Key is to not watch it while you're braking

I got a MY22 AWD ED premium and installed the GT Bar on Wedesday.
Today my son wanted to install it on his MY21 AWD SR Premium (build date was Aug. 2021)
he was connected to his wall box when he first installed according to post #1,
720-11-02 x2xx xxxx. The flash and bar were not on the screen when he started his car.

he then unpluged from the wallbox, changed everything back to original and retried. No change, the flash and bar just don't show up on IPC

Is there anything we gave overseen?

12V battery fully charged
SOC 82%
temperature outside 7 degrees C

I had add that on mine 6 months ago and just lost it when I did the new IPC update. I’ll have to try and reinstall it this week.

Yes I think the cutoff is July

Job1 woes, again. Job2 works.

strange, if Job2 starts in July then it should work on my sons MME
I think build date was Aug. 4th., what could Iwe have overseen that it doesn't work out?

@737flyer please keep me up to date whether reinstallation of the GT bar worked or not..

In theory, this should work on all Job 2 2021 vehicles and later. Older vehicles built before Sept 30 2021 should have had the IPC updated with FDRS to a new enough version for this to be enabled. BlueCruise OTAs may not provide a recent enough software version.

FYI - the power meter now works on 2021 Job 1 cars that have the new IPC software included in PowerUp 6.8.0.

I did all modules in FDRS about a month ago, and then got offered OTA 6.8.0 on Wednesday night this week.
I’m def gonna try the power meter out.

Since the last update, the power meter is gone on my 2022 Premium. It worked flawlessly for the past 12 months or so.

Yes, update reverts it back to stock so you'll have to re-enable it again.
