Bye the way, I don't think the 30 minutes for the full charge Electrify America (EA) gave you is correct. I have read elsewhere that it will take about 45 minutes to get to 80% with Electrify America. The last 20% usually takes about as long as the first 80% which is why you won't usually charge to 100% unless you need that much to get to the next charger on a long trip.
They might know the actual charging curve for the Mach-E since they are partnering with Ford but I'm pretty sure it can't charge that fast. Max rate is 150KWH and you probably only see that for a few minutes if you start charging at about 10% charge.
One last tidbit, currently EA Pass+ rates for 125KWH and up are 90 cents per minute which would be $27 for 30 minutes. A lot more expensive.
Hopefully, by the time we get our Mach-E's they will change their rate structure so it Is only 60 cents per minute.

I was using the subscription rate whish is $4.00 per month. I will not use it that often but I want the ability to get the cheapest and figured $4.00 per month is worth the savings.

Currently my 2017 Fusion Sport AWD gets 25 MPH on the highway...so at 10.80 gallons of gas to go the same distance with gas here being $3.77 per gallon means the gas equivalent is $40.72. No matter how you slice it the Mach E whether you save money by charging at home or forced to you EV America is a HUGE savings over gas plus maintenance

My Honda Clarity PHEV is EPA rated for 47 miles on battery and 42 MPG on gas. This time of year I am only getting about 35 miles on the battery running the heater. In my case the gas cost would be less than what EA wants at their current rates But it is not the latest and possibly greatest Mustang.

EA does not have enough fast chargers in rural areas. Zero in some states. Not all EAis fast charging but level 2 240 volts.

I've read that Ford also has an agreement with ChargePoint who has an agreement with EVGO so there should be lots of 50KWH chargers available through Ford Connect although I will be keeping my cards for them plus Greenlots and even Blink. PlugShare will still be valuable and make it easier to find Free charging stations.

Looking at the Plug Share Map, it is depressing to learn much of the northern portion of Michigan and all of the UP of Michigan do not have one fast charger that the Mach E can use. Tesla has zero fast chargers in the UP of Michigan and much of northern Wisconsin. More rural fast charging sites need to be developed. A shared agreement with Tesla would significantly help.

Have you read that EVGO has started adding Tesla charging connectors to their DC Fast chargers in San Francisco and will add it to the rest of their system in future? In the EU Tesla has already started adding CCS Combo connectors to their SuperCharger system because the new Teslas in the EU have been mandated to use the EU version of the CCS combo connector.
Whether Tesla will do that in the US seems unlikely to me.

USA Tesla does not share with what the Ford Mach E will use. EVGo locations are even scarcer than EV in Wisconsin and Michigan and much of the Midwest. Will the USA mandate the use of CCS and CCS combo and inter-sharing of Telsa supercharges with non-Tesla vehicles?

I had a VERY long discussion with EV America to try and understand the long distance aspect. After getting through all of their legal stuff it came down to the average EV car uses their middle tier which is 75-150 at about 0.69 cents per minute and a $1.00 connection fee. so if my furst edition with 270 mile capacity is totally dead the cost would be as follows. they said 9 miles per minute. 270/9=30 minutes of charging. 30 X 0.69 + $1.00= $21.70 for a complete fill up. I many be wrong but I am assuming that a 220V home charger is about the same at 9 miles per minute. If so the difference is at least with PG&E in California at a rate of 0.14 which is a non tier EV car rate only at night would be 30X 0.14 = $4.20 for a full charge. OBVIOUSLY I COULD BE WRONG. if SOMEONE CAN VERIFY THE MATH THEN THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I did verify the math with EV America so I know that is solid.
A 240V (220V) home charger at 48A will charge the Mach-E at 32 miles of range per hour.

On EA's 150kW chargers, Ford says you'll go from 10% -> 80% in 45 minutes. 70% of capacity added in that time means 4.2 miles of range per minute. I'm hoping that Ford narrows that time down to 40 minutes or less because at $0.69/min you're looking at $27 to recharge.

California's new rules about charging by the kWh will definitely change EA's pricing structure.

$27 is still cheaper then gas.

The actual $27 is more than what I would pay for 210 miles (70% of 300 Mach E range) of travel. $27 buys just less than 10 gallons of fuel here. 33 mpg highway(Rav4) or 45 (Cmax Energi) travel further than 210 miles on 10 gallons of fuel.

In California it would cost in the $32-33 range. So I guess you have cheap gas. We do not here but weather is substantially better so not worried about super cold since 32 is the lowest and that is rare. Driving over the grapevine here on I-5 can get down to 30 but that is strictly driving up and over. At that point CHP escorts so again weather related factors are a non issue except using air conditioning
