Have three Tesla in my family. Two model 3 and 1 model y. They all love their tesla, but........ they all have had problems that service calls had to be fixed.
The model y was not accepted upon deliver to many problems, the back seats would not raise back up even. nore would the auto seat release even work.

The spoiler on the back was already separating, bad panel gaps the charge port was not aligned properly. There was plenty of bad paint spots. the second model y was accepted and my sister still have a service call coming for problems.

The mustang Mach-e could launch with many problems. I would doubt it with the scrutiny that is going on down there right now.

Here is a link a tesla though.

I must be unique: I do stupid things all the time and readily admit to them being stupid...no worries about being perceived as doing something stupid. I own it ;)
LOL, well I do too. But I try to avoid it if I can.

RE: " That is why Tesla continues selling poorly assembled cars with subpar paint jobs. "

Do you own one? Do you own any Tesla? From your bio, you do not. You seem very sure about something you don't have first hand info about. Anyway, enough is enough. I cancelled my e-Mustang order months ago. I wish all you members here the best. I'm sure the e-Mustang will be very nice when it finally is released.
Dude, if you ordered the Mustang Mach-e thinking you were getting an e-Mustang, you didn’t do even the most basic research. It’s a good thing you cancelled. That’s telling right there.

As for the well documented problems with the Tesla’s. You do not have to own one to know there are quality issues. I don’t own a 737-max, nor did I ever fly an airliner that small. But I know how to read, and it’s an abomination. I don’t own a Tesla either but I still know they have serious quality control issues and I won’t own one of those either.

I guess you didn't understand the reference to "n=1". That means your experience is a single data point, which is statistically insignificant. If I owned one, my experience would also be a single data point - which would be exactly as statistically insignificant as yours. It takes more samples to get an accurate picture of the truth. Presumably you are unaware of many reports of issues that are unacceptable from any manufacturer - which includes detailed pictures and videos, as well as reference to a lawsuit filed by those not as lucky as you.

A cursory 3 minute search on a generally pro tesla site, although you could do the same search on youtube:

Hm, I'm looking into a Mach-E and giving my dad my Tesla because I have my 5th service center appointment within 2 months of ownership. The service is good, but I really don't like how unemotional this car is and the toxic community. Also don't like the company fudging a bunch of numbers.

I'm also quite disappointed by range, I'm getting 220 real world miles, 196 miles excluding the buffer. I was considering the Model Y dual motor but it looks like most people are averaging 280-340 wh/mi. at 300 wh/mi that comes down to 250 real world miles which isn't that much of an improvement.

I hope that Ford understates their range like all the other electric cars as seen from Bjorn Nyland, Alex on Articles, and this article... https://insideevs.com/news/407807/eletric-car-real-world-range-tested/. I recall a Ford Exec or manager saying that they are understating it, but only time will tell.

I also hope that Ford's larger battery buffer means it is recommended to just charge 100% daily and removes the concept of a "trip" SOC. From looking at SYNC 4a prototypes and teasers, there doesn't seem to be a "trip" or "daily" recommended SoC.

Charging is as important as range, so you can fill up quickly. I think the MME will really shine here with the updated fastor charging. This is a great video by a respected reviewer. Polestar Charging compared

What do you have against your father? ;)

But seriously:

At least one of these was a recent Dave Pericak interview.
