If all your modules are now up to date, you can enable BC 1.3 yourself using FORScan, if you are so inclined.
I had BC 1.4 enabled via ForsCan before this with the ACJ IPMA version. Honestly I think that worked better than the factory 1.3 I could drive the entire highway stretch to work and be all hands free before. Now it has hands on sections again.

Well......I had a ticket open with the BEV team a couple of months ago regarding 2021 model year Mach-Es not being able to turn off traction control since you can only control it from the touchscreen. There is no physical button. My car sat at the dealership for a month while technicians worked with engineers at Ford for a solution. The outcome to my ticket? Engineers told the BEV associate I was working with that they identified the issue and that the problem would be fixed with an OTA update that would be released before the end of the year. @Ford Motor Company has about six weeks left to fulfill that promise. :cwl:

2021 job 1 owner here. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I won't get any meaningful software upgrades...which sucks because the 2025 MME seems like a great option for me with the ventilated seats and improved acceleration.

But I can't justify sticking with Ford especially given the HVBJB recall debacle and now complete lack of software updates. I'd rather sell my car in and maybe switch to a hybrid especially since the next 4 years are shaping to be tough for EV owners

How are the next 4 years going to be harder for EV owners? They/we already own them. It's not like they're going to take away electricity.

Obviously all houses must now run solely off diesel generators.

Will be enforced sometime after the gas stoves are taken away.

Reduced incentives to meaningfully improve/build new out of home charging stations, especially L3 chargers (will lead to longer lines/waits at existing stations, longer downtime for station repairs)

Removal of tax credit if you're in the market for a new EV (which has the knock on effect of lowering demand, which lowers innovation/investment in new features, updates, models etc)

...He told me another tech from the same dealer just returned from some national training. He was told Ford was working on new ways to get updates to the cars. He agreed the OTA route wasn’t ideal.
Maybe distributing updates via WiFi instead of relying on the mobile network would be a good start.

So far we’ve only had one such update that required WiFi but it was really small and most likely for testing purposes. I feel most people still received this over the air though.

Yep. I've spot checked my network to see how much data the MME is using, and it's been negligible since I've had it.

I am assuming it's a security concern on their part, or their content delivery network is not great.

most 2021 is outside the warranty period and does not make sense for them to update it. the same will follow 2022 and then 2023.
tesla often have 20 year software update. if you care about software in anyway you shouldn't get anything other than a tesla.

20 year software-update? Is this in print on any Tesla owners manuals?
