I love my Mach E…But I am slightly disappointed with the tech.

When I first purchased my MME The dealer has me thinking Ford was going to add all the little bells and whistles similar to Tesla… cool stuff like:

lane changing with blue cruise
Pull out of tight parking/garage using phone
Better PAAK
ETC

Do y’all know if Ford plans on developing/adding any of these things in future OTA updates or not? Is there a place to read about Ford future EV plans?

Ford keeps yapping about all these fantastic over-the-air updates coming to the mach-e ...

I think I only got 1, and that was changing bluecruise from 100,000 miles of mapped roads to 130,000 miles.

I have to admit I feel jealous watching people in Teslas use its in-car monitor to watch a video while I hold my phone in my lap like a pleb. Smh.

I really don't think you'll get the Tesla like experience from any of the big auto makers. To do what Tesla does would require a very significant pivot for the major brands to a more technology focused product instead of just "transportation equipment" companies.

Your dealer mislead you. I haven’t seen anything from Ford indicating that the car would have any of those features. Well, PAAK has supposedly gotten better, but I don’t use it.

October and March are supposed to be big updates.

Lane changing is a future enhancement Ford has discussed.

Out of your list, I only purchased PaaK so I don't care about the other stuff. And I use PaaK every day. It works well and I have never been stranded. I saw a post on the Rivian forum from someone who was stranded with their PaaK. The bottom line is PaaK is not very reliable for any car using it.

I have not checked, but is Tesla PaaK more reliable than all the other car company's PaaK? In my experience, one of the big problems with PaaK is our phones and the Bluetooth technology used. The phone has issues even when the car is doing everything it should.

Not trying to be snide, Rick, do you have a reference for October and March? I'll be looking forward to both!

I sat next to Darren Palmer in a Lightning and talked about it. October and Spring he might have said, I would have to see what I posted after. In addition:

Edit - October and April. 6 months apart. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/attending-f-150l-celebration.16951/post-405848

It works 99.99% of the time (owned 3 Teslas) and that rare time it fails I used the keycard which fits in my wallet.

Honestly Mach-E isn't lacking in tech and most of it is great. It's just lacking a bit of refinement - CarPlay doesn't always connect, PAAK not reliable, UI is a tad slow, 1PD is unpolished (blended braking needs work).

None of the above are dealbreakers.
