I wish my car didn't sound like a forklift when backing up

I know that a sound is required when the vehicle is moving under 20mph, but the beeping like a forklift is NOT required. There are 7 EVs on my 10-home cul-de-sac and only the Mach E makes that annoying garbage truck backup sound. Others have the same sound backing up as the do when they go forward. I'm especially fond Audi e-tron. The guy across the street has one and it sounds like a starship when he approaches or departs. Very cool indeed.

Hopefully, sometime in the future, Ford will offer different sounds so that we can change it to our liking.

Also it definitely doesn't sound like a forklift lol that would really piss me off. While I agree the sound is annoying and should be something different that's a tad of an exaggeration lmao.

It's very close to the sound the Hyundai Hybrids make when they are backing up, definitely not a forklift. I'd rather it be noticeable than for someone to say they didn't hear it and try to sue for me something. The F-150 Hybrid makes same sound too. It would be cool if we could have options, but not a huge deal in the scheme of things, ymmv.

Wish with all BEVs we could add our own sound file (ie. Tie Fighter for us).

This is actually a product idea for @AOSK - Make a replacement speaker assembly that can be swapped in that senses when it gets input from the car and which input it is (driving or backup sound) and then plays whatever mp3 files the user loads in it's place. Would need a "programing" cable/plug that could hang in a user accessible area with a watertight seal. I think many of us would buy this. Question is if you can pull enough power on the line to run it.
