Dear @Ford Motor Company ,

I would like a 'data-only' Map update... just the new streets... hopefully free.

I'd also really like the return of the ability to speak my Navigation destination while moving... which seems to have expired when I let 'connected services' expire because I do NOT want to pay for basic streetmap data updates.

I'd pay maybe $50/year for minimal connected service data like:
- charger locations
- live traffic conditions

I do NOT want any other updates to anything... at least not until @Ford Motor Company demonstrates a much better track record and version release control complete with release notes, online searchable knowledgebase of bugs/enhancements that are open and complete, and the ability to do batch updates to a known solid release and the ability to back out 'bad' updates.

If you'd pay $50/year, would you consider $80/yr for that and a little more? ;)

I do NOT subscribe to “premium connectivity”, I just subscribe to “connected navigation” (and BlueCruise, of course). My maps are updated and navigation voice commands work fine.

Just subscribe to connected navigation, and you should be good. It’s $80/year, so not expensive.

Apple or Google maps maybe? Or does voice integration not work with those either when there’s no connected services subscription in place?

grumble, grumble... I just use my phone for "free" for maps.

$80/year is just unreasonable for maps, when there are free alternatives. I really don't need or want any part of "other" connectivity products, BlueCruise, or any other infotainment.

What I really would like is to cast my phone screen to the big screen... "for free" for the Apps I really would like to see like CarScanner custom dashboard to show sensor data that @Ford Motor Company has chosen NOT to display; like actual kW power in/regen, actual kWhr remaining, and actual temps in various places.

right. voice integration doesn't work for Nav when connected services expire. Weirdly, it does work to access Contacts for phone calls, and text msging.

"call" and "text" keywords work, "navigate" does not.

I *may* fold and pay for connected navigation, but I may just revert to using my phone since I don't need or want to use BlueCruise ever.

What about asking Siri for navigation via Apple Maps?

I have android phone. sure, I can use my phone, and NOT update Ford Nav. It's just a PIA that @fordmakes you pay for map updates
