Inexpensive solutions for spare wheel and tire.

A few hours of searching found quite of few Jaguar's from 2000 to 2019 use the 5 lug 4.25 inch or 108mm High Positive Offset wheel, 18 in rim. This spare are found used on ebay. The one I purchased was $30.00 shipped. The tire on the spare is a little undersized for the weight of the MME and a little to old to use. Get a new tire . I purchase a T155/85R-18 Continental sContact SL for $113.00 from tire rack. On paper this should work. Waiting for wheel and tire to test.

I hope you haven't had the need to test your Jaguar spare yet - but perhaps you mounted it just to check: does your spare fit front & rear?

I've seen some 18" Volvo spares from the same era that should match our 5x108 - but reading in the Focus RS forums, some Volvo spares were too small for the front calipers...

I’d guess after a year of him not updating it didn’t work. Perhaps the inflator with the goo is still the best. A spare would take up more room than the depression in the rear will allow I would assume also so storage would suck.

plz keep us updated. I am starting to go to my off-grid cabin more upstate and would like to keep a spare with me while I drive. Not a lot of good cell service up there so I'd like to be able to handle things myself by keeping the spare in a cargo box on top of the car.
