Was there news that those colors were only limited?Too late. The color is no longer available on Ford’s website for orders as of today. Along with carbonized grey, it’s history now.
Neither carbonized grey nor infinite blue are in the configurator for any Mach-es going forward. Dark matter grey was added. Infinite blue was dropped. Was there news that those colors were only limited?
Almost guaranteed it will. You can’t actually order right now, so these changes are prospective it would seem.Crossing my fingers my IB order accepted yesterday still counts.
Wonder if they will replace with one of the other Ford Blues. Popular color to remove.Too late. The color is no longer available on Ford’s website for orders as of today. Along with carbonized grey, it’s history now.
Just my guess, but I think if they were going to replace it they have done so. I suspect there are serious shortages of whatever makes up that particular color (and others). It is too popular to just dump it without good reason.Wonder if they will replace with one of the other Ford Blues. Popular color to remove.
I was lucky and got an IB off a lot. Hopefully it becomes some super rare specimen but sucks for everyone elseNeither carbonized grey nor infinite blue are in the configurator for any Mach-es going forward. Dark matter grey was added. Infinite blue was dropped.
I think that in all likelihood there’s a shortage for those two colors. Disappointing to me. Infinite blue and rapid red are the two most popular color choices on this forum and probably in the general Mach-e population as well.
It's a popular color. It's not exclusive to the MME either. There are Ford's that sell far more units that have IB as an option, my guess is scarcity is all. When that passes, we may see the color return (2022? 2023?). But it is unfortunate. Mine is built, but if I was ordering today, I'd look at the available colors and just move on to some other vehicle, Ford or otherwise.I was lucky and got an IB off a lot. Just looked and unless I missed it, didn’t find Infinite Blue as a color option on any Ford model. So I am thinking you are right. It's a popular color. It's not exclusive to the MME either. What if they had a '50 Shades of Gray' edition?? ? ?Just my guess, but I think if they were going to replace it they have done so. I suspect there are serious shortages of whatever makes up that particular color (and others). It is too popular to just dump it without good reason.
10 shades of grey isn't an ideal color palette.
That's IB: infinite shades of gray and blue. What if they had a '50 Shades of Gray' edition?? ? ?
