I think Ford guy meant sold out last year and sold out this year so accurate that they sold out for two years. I doubt they have sold out Mach e for 2023 but who knows.

I saw a video in the online version of the Detroit Free Press that lured me in with that title. The upshot was that they were sold out of 2 trim models, the Premium and the Route 1 for the foreseeable future for new orders. Exactly what we all know already from here. They didn't really explain the "2-year" part all that well, just hinted that it might be a couple years before you could again order those trims.

2023s cannot be ordered. 2022s can still be ordered in several trims.

Ford has sold all 2022 Lightnings and has reservations to utilize all 2023 and into 2024.
